This little hunk is Lukas (Lukie), he is approximately 8.5 years and about 24 lbs, (but he needs to lose weight and is on a restricted diet right now to help with that).

Lukie is a silly little bug, and his favorite spots are sleeping sprawled out on the bed, and relaxing in a dog bed. Lukey is used to sleeping on the bed with his human so we would like his adoptive home to allow that. He gets silly little bursts and wants to play with his rope toy. He does "smile", just when he gets excited. He gets excited when the leash comes out and will carry part of the leash in his mouth as if to say, "Let's go!" Lukie would enjoy walks, dog park (a safe one for little dogs) and he also LOVES CAR RIDES !!! He is always ready for the next adventure!

Lukie is looking for a calm home with a human(s) who can be around most of the time. Adult only or very gentle older kids would be best. The less amount of chaos the best for Lukie, then he can really settle in and relax.

Lukie does well with dogs & likes to play, but not in super social settings. Dogs his size and age would be best. He could be a solo dog if his human is around often. He does love to romp around a fenced in yard, but soon wants to come back inside and be with you.

All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, 4DX test (@12 months or older), microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention.

Our adoption process is simple. The very first step is to fill out our adoption interest form through our website.

We'll look over your application and determine if the animal you are interested in is a good match for your family. If it looks like a good match, we will contact you to set up a time for you to meet the animal. If you decide after meeting him/her that you want to move forward with adoption, we will set up a home visit and finalize the adoption! Please note that filling out an interest form does not guarantee adoption of an animal, and we don't adopt out animals on a first come first serve basis. We endeavor to find the best match for all animals and families.

Adoption fees cover age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter (if old enough), and costs involved in caring for the animals up to the point of adoption. Adoption fees also help fund veterinary costs of animals who come to rescue that need extra care.
