My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jack!
Jack is a charming Lab puppy with a heart full of love and a curious mind to match. At just 2 months old, this playful, well-adjusted boy is the perfect blend of fun and sweetness. He loves romping around with his brother Mo‚ whether they‚ are wrestling, playing tug-of-war, chasing a ball, or happily entertaining themselves with toys.
What truly sets Jack apart is his thoughtful, observant nature. In the middle of play, he‚ will happily pause to sit and quietly watch birds or take in anything new around him. He also a quick learner who enjoys observing the world and soaking it all in.
Jack is doing wonderfully with potty training and has had no accidents in his crate. He is mostly housetrained, eager to please, and enjoys companionship. With a medium activity level and a low vocal nature, he’s an easygoing pup who fits well into many home environments.
Jack does great with adults, seniors, and both young and older children, and he enjoys the company of both big and little dogs. His ideal home is one where he can continue learning, playing, and being loved as a true family member. Jack is a special boy who will make a loyal, affectionate addition to any home lucky enough to welcome him.
If you would like to learn more about Jack or one of our other rescue dogs please visit our website https://www.joshuafundrescue.org/adoptioninfo and fill out an application form. We adopt to most locations in the US and Canada, East of the Rocky Mountains. Once submitted and you have emailed the relevant supporting documents a member of our adoption team will contact you directly.
The Joshua Fund Dog Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are an all-volunteer organization and rely solely on donations to save dogs like this from high-kill shelters and put them in forever homes. Thank you

Additional adoption info

What are the requirements to adopt from The Joshua Fund?
1. You must live in a US state or Canadian province that is EAST of the Rocky Mountains. Unless special transport arrangements are made, you must come to our Adoption Center near Lake Placid, NY to meet us and your new dog or puppy on a designated Adoption Day. The adoption will be finalized at that time.
2. You must be over the age of 23 to adopt from us unless you are married. Proof of marriage is required if you are under 23 years old.
3. You must fill out our adoption application. It's an online form so you can type in your answers and then click SUBMIT when you are finished.
4. You must also submit 4 or 5 photos of both the interior and exterior of your home. Exterior photos must include the front, the back, a photo that shows how your house is situated in relation to the road it is on, and one of the fenced-in area if you do have a fence. Interior photos should include all of the interior areas where the dog will spend its time.
5. As proof of home ownership, you must submit a scan or a file of a recent property tax receipt, mortgage statement or homeowner’s insurance statement if you own your home.
6. If you rent, you must submit a scan or file of your lease agreement including any provisions or addendums involving pets.
7. Please send all files/scans via email to: info@JoshuaFundRescue.org
8. If you fail to provide these documents or leave out any pertinent information on your application, we will discard your application.

Are there any adoption requirements related to my current pets?
1. We require that all other pets in your home are up-to-date on vaccinations.
2. We require that all other pets in your home are spayed/neutered.
3. All dogs should be on regular monthly heart worm and appropriate flea/tick prevention medications.

What is the adoption fee?
The adoption fee for any dog or puppy is $550.
The adoption fee helps us to recover a portion of the expenses we routinely incur in rescue (boarding, vaccinations, worming, spay/neuter and transport) so that we can continue to save other dogs. Please note that the adoption fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.

When I submit an application, how long does it take to hear from The Joshua Fund?
As soon as we open your completed application, we’ll send you an e-mail acknowledgement. It will take from a few days to two weeks to hear back from us. Our volunteers have day jobs and families to take care of and they do this in their spare time.

Canadian Adopters will have all the paperwork needed to cross the Border the same day (there is no extra charge for the paperwork.) Your fee/fees must be USD.

Go meet their pets

We do not have a physical building like a shelter does. We are a Foster-based Rescue and our dogs and puppies remain with their Foster Family in their city/state of origin until they have a pre-approved, confirmed adopter. We mainly rescue from the Houston, Texas area.

More about this rescue

The Joshua Fund rescues dogs from high kill shelters across the US but primarily from the Houston, TX area. All of our dogs are tested and treated for any medical conditions they may have. They're up to date on shots, are spayed/neutered and are heartworm negative when they get their Health Certificate for interstate travel. We take special care to ensure that our dogs are healthy before they leave for their journey North. We rescue dogs who are unwanted and have no hope for a future without us. We're a small Rescue, taking only as many dogs at a time as we can place into excellent homes. We know that our dogs have a sad past - we strive to give them a wonderful future.
The Joshua Fund is a Registered Rescue with NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets. Registration No. RR096
