My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

👠💍💅Pardon us for the intrusion, but if we may, we’d like you to meet Trina. I do declare, why are we being so formal? It’s because our lovely lady here is well-mannered, so we thought she deserved a raised-pinky, high-society biography 💅💍👠

Enter Trina, in her full-coated, luxe tan-and-white Shepherd fur coat. She is 2 years old and weighs just under 50 pounds (pardon our gauche size description, but you need to understand the scale of her beauty!). She simply HAS to be the most elegant tripod this side of the Mississippi.

Though we are presenting her like a debutante, the facts establish that she will easily adapt to any type of social scene or landscape. She adores people from all walks of life, including children. She also warms up quickly to other dogs and will befriend them from the outset.

Trina’s priority in life is to serve her people as their top admirer. She wants their attention and pets as much as possible. As a proper young lady, she makes those requests for scratches and love politely, by placing her paw lightly on your leg.

She does great in the car, where she’d be happy to accompany you to greet the proverbial masses. She also sits on command and comes when she’s called, and she is great on the leash. She can shake and lay down at your direction, as well. Trina takes her treats so very gently. She will deign to play with stuffies and chew on hard bones, ladylike of course.

If this doll on 3 legs catches your attention, you should make her acquaintance! Trina is crate trained, house trained, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She’ll come to you current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $175. No formal attire requested to meet her – come as you are, after filling out the application at PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Go meet their pets

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.

What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.

Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.

More about this rescue

Pawsitive Tails strives to be something different in the animal adoption community. We simply want to help dogs and puppies find new homes by matching the right dog to the right family.

Pawsitive Tails is a not for profit organization focused on finding forever homes for dog and puppies. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.
