My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My foster writes: Briar Lee is super affectionate and always ready to bring a smile to anyone who stops to pet him, Briar has a gentle sweetness that melts you instantly. He absolutely loves playing with his toys and will happily entertain himself or invite you to join in the fun.
This smart boy picks up new tricks incredibly quickly (he might even be bilingual!). While He has a playful spirit just waiting for the opportunity to shine. Give him a little patience and kindness, and you'll discover a loyal, loving companion who will stick by your side like the softest, sweetest shadow.

My foster writes: I am so sweet and lovvvvve to give lots and lots of kisses. In fact, I'm more interested in giving kisses and hanging with my humans on the couch than I am in toys. I also like to roll over to get scratches on my belly. When it's time to go for a walk I am patient to get the harness and leash on. And, I love to show off my new trick, learning how to sit! Going for walks is one of my favorite activities and I can go pretty far. My humans are cautious about me meeting other dogs but so far, I've done pretty well. I do like to jump up to show my love, but I think that's something I could be trained to stop doing. I warmed up to my foster humans very quickly and am very attached to them. I like to follow them around the apartment and be in the same room as them. My foster humans wish they could keep me, but their schedules just don't allow for it.

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.

I am playful and cute!

My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: Briar-Lee was an absolute angel on our BoroughBreak! Despite the cold weather, he enjoyed a long walk across Central Park, where we alternated walking and running. He was very good on leash, sticking by my side the entire time and did not pull. We enjoyed some snuggles on park benches as well as when at stoplights. He enjoyed when adults came up to him and wanted to give him some love as well, wagging his tail and nestling into their legs.
