My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Momo is a playful, athletic young cat with a clever streak and a cuddly side. She loves interactive play and will happily bring toys over when she’s in the mood - she’s even been known to play fetch. Laser time is a favorite, and she enjoys running, climbing, and parkouring across her cat trees.

She’s affectionate and enjoys being picked up for snuggles, which seems to help her settle.

Momo is selective with other cats and would do best as the only cat in the home, though a very slow, selective introduction may be possible in the right setting. She has shown she can do well with calm, respectful dogs after a proper adjustment period.

Momo would be a great match for someone looking for an active, affectionate companion who enjoys play, snuggles, and being the center of attention.

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
