Meet Starburst, our gentle little scruff! 🐾

This one-year-old, 10-pound scruffy terrier mix is a petite girl with a soft heart and an even softer soul. She’s naturally shy when meeting new people or situations, but once she feels safe, her true personality shines through.

She likes to take things at her own pace—and that includes affection. When she’s ready, she loves curling up on the sofa for quiet cuddles and cozy companionship. She’s not the bold, toy-obsessed type (at least not yet!), and we haven’t seen her show much interest in playing with other dogs or toys—but what she does love is being near her people.

She is wonderful with kids and has formed a special bond with the foster’s son, often choosing to sit close to him. It’s clear she feels safe and comforted around children, which makes her such a lovely family companion 🥹

This sweet girl would do best in a calm, patient home that understands shy dogs and is willing to let her blossom in her own time. If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal cuddle buddy who just wants to feel safe and loved, she may be your perfect match. 💕🐶

Once your application is approved you will be contacted by the rescue and discuss the dog you are interested in and transportation.

Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, health certificate and transportation.

All information regarding our dogs and transportation will be discussed prior to adoption.

Puppies under 6 months: $350
Dogs over 6 months: $300
(Special adoption fee applies to some dogs and puppies)

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
