My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sage is a two-to-three-year-old hound mix weighing about 50 pounds, and somehow a blend of wonderful breeds that came together to create pure magic. With her honey-colored short coat, crisp white markings, and eyes that seem to search yours for connection and reassurance, Sage has a way of making you feel chosen. She doesn’t just look at you—she communicates with you, as if she’s asking about your day and quietly reminding you how deeply she already loves you.

Her personality is where she truly sparkles. Sage is confident, curious, and delightfully engaged with the world around her. New experiences excite her, and she eagerly loads into the car whenever her foster mom hints at an outing. She’s the kind of dog who looks effortlessly polished, always soft, clean, and well put together, as if she takes pride in being your companion.

Sage is social and well-adjusted, thriving at doggie daycare and getting along beautifully with most other dogs. She has lived peacefully with cats and has interacted kindly with children, though her affectionate enthusiasm means toddlers could occasionally get a little surprise bump from a happy kiss. She adores people and greets her human friends with joyful affection and endless love.

This is a dog meant for an active life. Sage dreams of brisk walks, long hikes, camping weekends, and wandering outdoor festivals right by your side. She takes her role as your adventure guardian seriously and will happily escort you through trails and parks with devotion and pride. And when the day winds down, Sage transforms into the ultimate cuddle companion, curling up close and settling in for long, peaceful hours with her people.

Her foster mom quickly realized how intelligent Sage is, and she’s already mastered many commands, along with being fully housebroken and crate trained. We lovingly call her Sage the Adventure Dog, a title she’s earned with every wag of her tail. She’s ready to continue her journey with someone who wants a loyal partner for life’s biggest and smallest moments. If you’re looking for an adventure buddy who will love you completely, Sage is waiting to be discovered if you are interested in perhaps adopting Sage please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We are a full volunteer rescue organization. All of our animals are kept in loving foster homes, receiving the best care possible. A completed application must be submitted and approved to meet with our dogs/pups. A completed application helps us determine compatibility and also helps us to ensure a successful adoption.
