My name is Margie (no more applications)!

Margie is a happy go lucky doodle who came to us from the city pound. She more than fulfilled her legal stray hold and no one ever claimed her. We think she's a lab mixed with standard poodle, aka "labradoodle", and she appears to be around 5 years old. She has a coarse, wiry coat and currently weighs 64 pounds. We will get her vet checked and spayed soon and her fee is $150.

Margie is a nice, strong girl, who appears to have had a little basic training. She loves to be with people so she's looking for a home in which she won't be alone for long hours. We do think she would do okay with another well mannered dog. We have no way of testing with cats. We think she'd be fine with kids, too, but she is large and strong so supervision is always needed. 

NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
