My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hiya! I’m Kirby

A 4-year-old, 43-lb orange & white, freckle-faced, neutered Brittany boy with a heart full of love and a tail that’s always ready to wag!

I might be a little shy at first , but once we’re friends—oh boy! I turn into a happy, playful, snuggly guy who lives for yard time with my humans. If you step outside with me, just know… you’ve officially made my whole day.

I’m pretty easy-going and independent, too. I do fine around other dogs as long as everyone uses their manners, but honestly? I’d be thrilled to be your one-and-only best buddy. More love for me, right?

Fun facts about me:

✨ I’m a kennel superstar (seriously, I’m very tidy)
✨ I adore rawhides, toys, and cookies
✨ Belly rubs are basically my love language
✨ I don’t fence fight—I’m way too classy for that

What I’m dreaming of:

A fenced yard to play and explore
Toys to keep me entertained
Treats (obviously)
A human who wants a loyal, loving sidekick

If you’re looking for a sweet, playful boy who will be your shadow, your cheerleader, and your very best friend—I think we might be a perfect match.

Wiggles & kisses,
Kirby

More about this rescue

National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network (NBRAN), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a network of caring and dedicated volunteers who have a deep passion for dog rescue and specifically the homeless Brittany, affectionately called a "Britt."

Once called "the Brittany Spaniel," the AKC has officially changed their breed name to "the American Brittany." A Brittany retains a puppy-like quality in their personality and are gentle, clownish, active dogs. They are great family dogs.
