My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Buddy is a sweet, playful, loving lab who will be arriving in NJ on 2/21.

Meet Buddy — the dog who believes every day is a reason to celebrate

This 40-lb lab mix is the definition of instant happiness. He shows up, wags his tail, and suddenly, everyone in the room is smiling. Buddy loves other dogs (seriously, he meets new friends like it’s his job), adores toys, and thinks outside time is the best time.

He’s fully vetted, neutered, heartworm negative, and totally ready for his next big adventure — ideally one that includes car rides, couch snuggles, and a family who loves his goofy, joyful energy.

Volunteers say he’s the “life of the party” type — charming, funny, and always ready to make you laugh. If you’ve been wishing for a dog who brings sunshine wherever he goes, look no further.

Buddy’s dream is simple: to find his person and start the rest of his amazing life. Could it be you?

Buddy is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.  His adoption fee is $450.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.

Additional adoption info

We require an application. After reviewing the application, your home sounds suitable for the personality of the animal you are looking for, then a home check and a meeting is set up. For our rescue animals an adoption donation is required. All our rescue animals are up to date on shots, heartworm tested or on preventative, dewormed frontlined and have a microchip.

More about this rescue

Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, located in Freehold, NJ, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are worked with individually to be socialized with other animals and with people. Some of the dogs are obedience trained and housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. We have two types of ways we help the animals. One is our rescue program, where we pull animals from shelters and they stay with us until adopted, we also have a "referal program" where we help owners of pets try to find them new homes. with this program, the pets stay with their owners until a new home is found, and adopted from the owner.
