Hola amigos! My name is Sonny (Sammy in Mexico!) and here's more about me:
PHYSICAL INFO:
RESCUE STORY - My story is one of quiet resilience. You see, me and my brother were left alone in our home when our 'owner' became ill and was hospitalized. During this scary time, we were completely left to fend on our own until we were finally rescued! Thanks to my angel rescuers, I was able to receive the full medical care I needed. Happily, my brother has already found his new family, but I am continuing to wait patiently for my chance at being chosen!
TEMPERAMENT - Understandably, I am still a bit fearful and need some time to trust and come out of my shell. When hoomans approach me too quickly I may run away or crouch down, This is because I am still learning that hoomans can be kind. Once I feel safe however, my true loving and gentle personality shines! I really love to play and socialize with other dogs, I am also very affectionate, and my rescuers say I have the cutest habit of jumping really high just to get some attention and some pets (it's my party trick!). I am truly a good-natured, sweet, and loving doggo, who would do well with a patient family willing to give me the time and reassurance I deserve and need to blossom into my bestest self. I would thrive in a calm, loving home that understands that trust is built gently and once earned, I will give you my WHOLE heart - I promise!
ENERGY LEVEL - Medium
GETS ALONG WITH:
PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.
TRAINING:
Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.
HEALTH NOTES:
ADOPTION FEE:

The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.
WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.
