My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do blondes have more fun? Blondie says they do! This gal rocking a pretty fur coat came to us with Dagwood, and orange gentleman with whom she was found living outside. These two are too congenial for that street life, and Dagwood already has a home lined up! Now, it's sweet Blondie's turn.

Blondie is about 1-1.5 years old and while she's no doubt a looker, it's her personality that will make you fall in love - she's confident, easygoing, quiet, and ultimately just a super lovey presence who loves human affection. She makes instant friends with everyone, and happily rolls on her back when you hit the right skritching spot. She'd probably like nothing more than to snuggle on your lap while you read the Sunday paper...she'll have the comics section, please. Blondie ran around with Dagwood outside and seems just fine with the other cats here. We don't know her history with dogs, but slow introductions would be key. Blondie is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Fill out an application at the sanctuary or www.secondchanceas.org/adopt (Inquiries on online listings don't constitute an application)

2.

Interview

We will call your veterinarian and personal references. We'll also call you if we have questions or need more information.

3.

Approve Application

We will approve or deny the application. You may be approved to adopt, but not necessarily the same animal you originally applied for.

4.

Meet the Pet

This may be done before applying. You'll be asked to sign an adoption contract and to make a certain donation amount, rather than a set fee.

Additional adoption info

We are passionate about pairing animals in need with loving families who would best suit their individual needs. NOTE: You do not have to apply for a specific animal on your application. You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.
