Meet Zellers, the quiet little shadow who surprises everyone with his love of play. At one year old, this kitty has grown into a gentle, affectionate cat after starting life on the streets. He has the sweetest, softest meow and a calm presence that makes him instantly lovable.

Zellers enjoys approaching his people for head rubs and gentle attention and never asks for more than you are happy to give. When it is time to play, Zellers truly lights up. He loves chasing ping pong balls across the room and happily pouncing on ribbon wands, playing with endearing enthusiasm.

Despite his playful side, he remains the quietest boy in the room and settles easily once playtime is over.
Zellers would thrive in a calm home and would do especially well living with another cat who appreciates a respectful companion. He is affectionate, polite, and ready for a forever home where his gentle nature can shine.

Must adopt as a buddy to another cat.

Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
