My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Boq—small dog, big main-character energy. 😄🐾
This 2-year-old, 12-lb Chihuahua mix is playful, peppy, and always ready to turn an ordinary day into a good time. Boq loves to zoom, bounce, and charm his way into your heart, then happily settle in once playtime is over. He’s doing great with potty training and clearly wants to be a Very Good Boy™.
Cats? He notices them and may offer some dramatic commentary (aka barking), but he’s not aggressive—just curious and expressive.
If you’re looking for a fun-sized companion with a joyful personality, a sense of humor, and plenty of love to give, Boq is ready to steal your couch… and your heart. 💛

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
