Perfect for a quiet home looking for a sweet, low-key companion.
Amelia—affectionately known as Topsey—is a 10-year-old, 33-pound Beagle, possibly with Basset mixed in. She has clearly been well loved and well cared for by her previous family, but due to their health issues, Amelia is now searching for a new place to call home.
Amelia would thrive in a calm, quiet household where she can enjoy life at her own pace and embrace her inner Beagle. She is house trained, though she is no longer accustomed to being crated and would prefer a home where crating is not required.
She is doing well with other dogs and enjoys their company, but Amelia cannot live with cats.
If you’re looking for a gentle, easygoing senior who will appreciate a peaceful routine, comfortable naps, and time with her people, Amelia (Topsey) may be the perfect addition to your home.
**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
