I’m very good with the children in my home and love to walk around their legs to say hello or ask for attention. I’m sweet and cuddly, but I also appreciate having my boundaries respected. I like being pet and picked up on my terms, and if I’m not in the mood, I’ll politely let you know by meowing or finding a cozy hiding spot. One thing I don’t enjoy is belly rubs—those are a no-thank-you for me! I’ve lived peacefully on my own and previously cared for two kittens, and we all got along well. I haven’t lived with dogs, but I’ve never bitten or scratched anyone. The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
