Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there! My name is Arlo, and even though I’ve had a bit of a bumpy start, I’m living proof that being an "underdog" just makes the victories sweeter. I might be a little different because I can’t see or hear much on my right side, but don’t let that fool you—it doesn’t slow me down for a second!
I’m a high-energy guy who is all about living life to the fullest. Whether we are solving complex puzzles, going for a long hike, or playing a high-speed game of tag, I just want to be right in the middle of the action. I’m incredibly resilient, and my main goal in life is to share my big heart and happy spirit with a family of my own.
If there is one thing I love as much as playing, it’s food! I’m a bit of a "foodie"—I love my kibble, your snacks, and even whatever my foster brother is eating. Because I get so excited about mealtime, I do my best work when I have my own private space and a slow-feeder bowl to help me savor every bite. I’m a smart boy who is house-trained and working so very hard on my crate-training. Potential adopters should know that I am still learning my crate is wonderful, safe space.
I’m definitely looking for a house with a yard rather than an apartment so I can really stretch my legs. I think kids are great, and I’m very curious about cats; as long as the kitties are "dog-savvy" and used to a curious pup like me, I think we’d get along just fine.
I’m a social butterfly who loves other dogs, though sometimes I get so caught up in the fun that I need a gentle reminder to take a hint when my friends need a break.
Being a young guy, I’ll occasionally push the boundaries to see what I can get away with, but I’m very responsive to training and cues. I genuinely want to please my people and am always eager to learn. I’ve been called stoic and brave, but at the end of the day, I’m just a happy pup looking for a family who will include me in all their adventures! 🖤🐾

Applications are submitted and reviewed against a pet bio that is prepared by the foster. This allows for a match of the family to the pet.
2.
Interview
Screening questions are completed to confirm match before meet and greet
3.
Meet the Pet
Dog up for adoption, the applicant and foster meet.
4.
Home Check
A virtual home visit along with 2 reference checks is done to confirm safe and suitable home (one reference is a vet if possible)
5.
Approve Application
A call with the applicant and adoption team is held to finalize, and then send contract.
6.
Sign Adoption Contract
Contract and addendum if needed is sent to the applicant.
7.
Pay Fee
After the adoption donation and contract are received, the adoption is considered final. Then pick up the new family member and take home

We use a team to cover different steps in the process so that we have input from several individuals to confirm dog/puppy is a fit in the new family and we have the correct forever home.
