Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I’m Toad 🐸🐾—a happy, playful puppy with a curious mind and a heart full of potential. I’m active, affectionate, and inquisitive, and my favorite thing to do is lock eyes with you in a long, thoughtful staring contest (it’s my signature move).
My days are all about puppy structure: early mornings, breakfast, and playtime to burn off energy, followed by relaxing in my x-pen while my foster is at work. Evenings mean more meals, play, and then crashing hard in my cozy safe space with my siblings. I’m still very much a work in progress—I’m not house trained yet and will need continued crate training—but I’m eager to learn.
I’ve been exposed to lots of dogs of all sizes and personalities, including a laid-back Golden Retriever, a small northern mutt, and my littermates, and I do great with them. I don’t need another dog in my forever home, though—I’m adaptable and will settle into just about any loving household. I’ve met teenagers and did well, and as a puppy, I’m expected to adjust easily to different family setups.
With my foster, I’m responsive, listen well, enjoy cuddles, and also appreciate a bit of independent time. I play happily on my own with toys, with other dogs, and with people. I’m a sweet, balanced pup looking for a patient home ready to help me grow into the amazing dog I’m meant to be 💛

Applications are submitted and reviewed against a pet bio that is prepared by the foster. This allows for a match of the family to the pet.
2.
Interview
Screening questions are completed to confirm match before meet and greet
3.
Meet the Pet
Dog up for adoption, the applicant and foster meet.
4.
Home Check
A virtual home visit along with 2 reference checks is done to confirm safe and suitable home (one reference is a vet if possible)
5.
Approve Application
A call with the applicant and adoption team is held to finalize, and then send contract.
6.
Sign Adoption Contract
Contract and addendum if needed is sent to the applicant.
7.
Pay Fee
After the adoption donation and contract are received, the adoption is considered final. Then pick up the new family member and take home

We use a team to cover different steps in the process so that we have input from several individuals to confirm dog/puppy is a fit in the new family and we have the correct forever home.
