My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Paco – Your Sweet, Snuggly Shadow 💛

If you’ve ever dreamed of a dog whose superpower is loving everyone she meets, Paco might just be your perfect match. This petite senior lady is truly the sweetest dog ever — gentle, polite, and endlessly affectionate. She has mastered the art of relaxed living and would love a human who appreciates the same pace.

She is fully house-trained, has lovely manners, and is wonderfully polite with other dogs — she’ll say a quick hello and then happily go about her business. Cats don’t faze her, and she’s fantastic with children. During a meet-and-greet at Miller’s Market, kids approached her and she soaked up the attention with calm grace — no jumping, no barking, just tail wags and love.

At home, Paco is a total snuggle bug. She adores couch cuddles and is always thrilled when her people come home. She plays gently with humans and doesn’t have a prey drive. One thing to know about her heart: she loves her people a lot. Paco does experience some separation anxiety and may bark a bit when left alone, which means she’s not ideal for apartment living. She also doesn’t enjoy crates.

What she truly needs is a human who will be there, offer reassurance, and enjoy quiet companionship.

If you’re looking for a senior dog who will warm your couch, your heart, and your home, Paco is ready to meet you 🐾💕

Meet the Pet

Dog up for adoption, the applicant and foster meet.

4.

Home Check

A virtual home visit along with 2 reference checks is done to confirm safe and suitable home (one reference is a vet if possible)

5.

Approve Application

A call with the applicant and adoption team is held to finalize, and then send contract.

6.

Sign Adoption Contract

Contract and addendum if needed is sent to the applicant.

7.

Additional adoption info

We use a team to cover different steps in the process so that we have input from several individuals to confirm dog/puppy is a fit in the new family and we have the correct forever home.
