My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bandit is a sweet, friendly girl that has gone through a very difficult time. She was found chained outside after her owner passed away. She had a deep laceration in her neck most likely due to her trying to get off the chain. She was placed on antibiotics and put in to a foster home while she healed. Bandit will always have a scar on her neck, but she is ready to find her forever home.

Bandit is very timid and getting used to being around people again. But, she has shown that she warms up to be a very affectionate girl, especially with kids. To ease the process of her coming out of her shell, Bandit's new home should be in a quiet suburban or rural area and have a fenced in yard. She would probably enjoy the companionship of another dog, but could also be happy soaking up all the attention. She loves belly rubs!

Bandit is a very well behaved girl! She is good with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats. She barks outside, but inside she is very quiet. She is house and crate-trained, and walks well on leash. This medium energy girl is about 3 yrs old and 38 lbs, and arriving in MA soon!

Happy Life Beagle Rescue is a foster based rescue. We do not have a physical shelter where you can visit our dogs. All our dogs are in foster homes throughout the New England area or in the south waiting to be transported north.

More about this rescue

Happy Life Beagle Rescue, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, is a 100% volunteer run rescue established in 2022. We're a new rescue, however, collectively our Adoption Counselors have been rescuing beagles for decades. All have experience with other rescues, as well as being beagle lovers and owners themselves. Currently, the core volunteers within the rescue have 15 beagles between them.

Our combined experience and knowledge about the breed provides us with a wealth of information to draw from to make the best placements possible, as well as offer support to our adopters.
