My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Milo is a sweet, 3-year old gentle soul with a truly loving nature. He’s an affectionate lap cat who thrives on being close to his people—curling up on laps, sleeping beside you at night, and enjoying quiet companionship. If you’re looking for a cat who genuinely loves human connection and will happily keep you company, Milo is your guy.

Friendly and curious by nature, Milo approaches new spaces and new feline friends thoughtfully. He likes to take his time sniffing, observing, and settling in at his own pace. Once he feels comfortable, he’s relaxed and content. He currently lives with two other cats and does well with them.

Milo would do best in a calm household. He tolerates children but doesn’t enjoy excessive handling, so a home with older kids or adults who understand and respect cat boundaries would be ideal.

He is an indoor-only cat, but he’s very interested in the outside world and loves watching birds and activity through windows or relaxing on a secure balcony. While he’s not a fan of wearing a harness, he clearly enjoys fresh air and visual stimulation.

Letting Milo go is incredibly difficult for us. We adopted him because of his loving personality and gentle presence—and that hasn’t changed. Unfortunately, our family circumstances have. We now have a one-year-old child, another baby on the way, and my husband has a severe dust mite allergy, making litter care increasingly challenging. Because I am pregnant, it’s not safe for me to handle litter box duties, and I also work night shifts and sleep during the day. Despite our love for Milo, we’re no longer able to provide the calm, attentive environment he truly deserves.

Milo deserves a home where he can be doted on, cuddled, and appreciated for the wonderful companion he is. We are hoping to find him a family who will cherish him as much as we do and give him the peaceful, loving home where he can truly thrive.

Milo lives in Beaverton with his family and is an indoor only cat.  His rehoming fee is $45

Adoptable cats and kittens are shown on our website with detailed profiles and pictures. Potential adopters must submit an adoption application for review and evaluation.

We require that adopted cats be mainly indoor cats and no declawing is allowed. Adopters must be over 21 years old and sign a contract that lists out his/her responsibility as the cat's owner.

More about this rescue

Cat's Cradle Rescue keeps cats out of shelters by offering an alternative to a cage - we are a no-kill FOSTER-HOME BASED rescue group that welcomes cats to our home environments as they await adoption.

Why Foster Care? Does your new kitty like children? Does she play with dogs or find other felines too uncomfortable to be around? Does he have consistent litter-box manners? Does he want to cuddle or perhaps his comfort zone is to be more independent. Many life-factors influence cat behavior and while genetics plays a role, we know that human touch, kindness, nurturing and consistency of care are non-negotiable requirements. We provide all of this.
