My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✨🐾The Life of a Puppy 🐾✨

They aren’t really autograph hounds, but these babies are definitely barking your name!

Introducing the Wood Litter! Aspen (F), Birch (F), Japanese Maple (M), Juniper (F) and Redwood Tree (M) are 3-month-old mixes of bounce, scruff and cuteness. We think they’ll be in the neighborhood of 20 pounds as adults.

🪾🪾Aspen is fierce. She loves to run outside and tries to boss around the other puppies. She’s the scruffiest and scrappiest of the girls.

🪾🪾Birch is the smallest of the litter with sleek black fur. She’s a doll who will win you over with her snuggles. But, don’t underestimate her — she can hold her own with her brothers!

🪾🪾Japanese Maple is a mama’s boy. His favorite place is in your lap — preferably upside down getting a belly rub. He vocalizes every thought with a warble and has lots to say.

🪾🪾Juniper has the split white/black face and smooth fur. She’s so sweet and loves being in your arms. She’s a follower but loves to trot after her siblings and join in on the play.

🪾🪾Redwood Tree is a canine exclamation point who wants to run with the big dogs. He’s friendly, independent, and fun. He loves to play outside, dodging the leaves and twigs.

WOODn’t you just love to have one of them for your very own?

They’ll each come to you spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped, as well as current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. Their adoption fee is $275. Meet & greets will be scheduled with approved adopters from PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Go meet their pets

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.

What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.

Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.

More about this rescue

Pawsitive Tails strives to be something different in the animal adoption community. We simply want to help dogs and puppies find new homes by matching the right dog to the right family.

Pawsitive Tails is a not for profit organization focused on finding forever homes for dog and puppies. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.
