My name is Genesis!

Animal Information: Genesis is an estimated 8-month-old, German Shepherd mix currently weighing  35lbs. 

Foster Profile:   Genesis is a sweet, shy girl who has been a little slow to settle in, but is really starting to share her lovely personality. She is crate and potty trained, and does well meeting new people. She is great with her teenage foster sister, who affectionately calls her America. Her foster, who also happens to be one of our fantastic training partners, has started working on her confidence and she is making good headway, showing more curiosity than fear, especially around other dogs. We will share more about Genesis as she progresses in foster care; overall she’s a really sweet dog!

Foster update: Genesis has really come out of her shell! The little shepherd landshark I was expecting has officially arrived. She’s gained confidence and is showing more typical puppy behaviors now that she’s settled.  She’s still a sweet little pup and loves to cuddle. We have started working her on loose leash walking, and she’s responding well. She also found her voice--she now joins in when the other dogs alert to the mail. It’s not excessive, just typical “hey something’s happening” participation.  Overall, she’s doing really well and continuing to gain confidence each week!

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).

Animal History: This dog was transferred from Stanislaus Animal Services in Modesto, CA. She will be transferred via Wiggle Butts. arriving to foster care on 01/11/2026 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.
