My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nikita!

Nikita is an 8-month-old mixed breed sweetheart weighing around 16 lbs., with an ideal adult weight of 20–22 lbs. What breed you ask? We have no idea! She is a wonderful mystery mix and she may just be the cuddliest dog you’ll ever meet. Don’t get us wrong - she loves to play and enjoys her walks - but when it’s time to relax, she’s happiest curled up next to you for some quality Netflix-and-chill time.

She walks nicely on a leash with no pulling, just lots of sniffing, exploring, and taking in the world. Nikita is cautious but friendly with both dogs and people, and slow introductions are recommended. Once she warms up, she truly shines and becomes the sweetest, most affectionate pup. Fun fact: we’ve never heard Nikita bark - so if she ever does, please send us a video!

Nikita is potty trained and crate trained, and she’s currently working on learning commands. She’s very smart and eager to learn - she just needs a little time and patience. She’s respectful in the home, only chews on her toys and treats, and has the gentlest nature. When she’s unsure or scared, she doesn’t bite - she kisses. Lots of kisses.

Nikita is a gentle soul with a sweet spirit. She would do best with another dog in the home to help her gain a little confidence. She has no cat experience and has never lived with children. We believe young children may be a little too chaotic for her but children over 10 will be just fine.

Saving Great Animals is offering a 2-week trial adoption so you can see if Nikita is the perfect fit for your home. If you’re looking for a loving, low-key, affectionate companion, Nikita may be your girl. Apply today and give this sweet pup the chance she deserves!

Nikita will be vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
