Meet Reuben!
How adorable is this little guy?!?!
Six year old Reuben was an owner surrender to an overcrowded Metro area shelter when his elderly owner could no longer care for him. We didn’t get any other background information on him except for that but we are guessing his previous life wasn’t all that great. Rueben is a bit slow to trust new people, so he likely wasn’t well socialized and possibly mistreated. Once he warms up and knows he is safe, though, Rueben turns into quite the little cuddly lover boy!
Rueben is house trained, crate trained, great with dogs of all sizes, and great with cats! He’s looking for a calmer all adult home (no children) with at least one other confident dog - he looks to the other dogs for comfort and confidence as he is settling into a new environment and getting to know new people.
