My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I’m Bella! My name means beautiful, and I try to live up to it every single day. I’m a 10yearold, 13lb Poodle who adores warm laps, cozy blankets, and staying close to the people I love. When I can keep my favorite human in sight, my whole world feels peaceful.

Favorite Things: Bella delights in curling up beside her person, whether that’s on the couch, tucked into a lap, or snoozing in the people bed at night. Toys don’t matter much to her, but affection and closeness make her happiest.

Training and Manners: This cutie has lovely manners and moves through life with a polite, confident way about her. She walks nicely on a leash, rides smoothly in the car, and is fully housetrained when given regular opportunities to go out. She thrives when included in daily routines and knowing her human is nearby. Her easy going nature makes her a wonderful little friend.

Health and Care: Bella is a healthy girl who is microchipped, spayed, and current on vaccines. She takes her monthly preventatives and, as a poodle, will need routine brushing and professional grooming to keep her coat looking its best.

Other Animals: Bella is content to coexist with other dogs and prefers a lowdrama environment. She also has experience with cats and is perfectly comfortable sharing space with a mellow feline friend.

Children: Bella hasn’t spent time with children in her foster home. She would likely do best with older kids (10+) who understand her sensitive nature.

Ideal Home: Bella flourishes in a home where her people are nearby and appreciate the sweetness of a devoted little shadow. She can feel unsettled when left alone but with steady company and routines she relaxes beautifully. Whether it’s a singlefamily house, an apartment, a condo, or a townhome, she’s content as long as she has someone to curl up beside and a cozy spot to call her own.

Overall: Bella is a tender, affectionate lap dog whose heart is as beautiful as her name. She’s searching for someone who appreciates her sweet spirit and will enjoy the comfort of a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to stay close.

If Bella sounds like the snuggly sidekick you’ve been searching for, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to submit an adoption application. If it appears to be a good fit, her foster family will reach out with more details. Bella’s adoption donation is $275.

We are a foster-based rescue organization and do not have a facility. We have all events posted on our website each month.

More about this rescue

Poodle and Pooch Rescue is a 501(c)3 non profit organization that saves dogs that truly need help. We rescue the "leftovers" from animal control, the dogs nobody wants because they're older or suffer from neglect, abuse or have a medical need. Their "last" day becomes the first day of their new life. We provide the veterinary care they need, a foster family they love and when they're ready, we adopt them to a family who cherishes them. We do not have a physical shelter because every dog lives with one of our foster families. We are all volunteers so your tax-deductible donation goes directly to help the dogs. We have saved over 5,500 dogs since 2008.
