My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carter is a truly sweet boy with a shy heart and a curious soul. He’s a little introverted, but always quietly exploring the world around him, often softly mumbling to himself as if he’s having his own little conversations.

Once he gets to know you, Carter will respond to your calls and connect with you in his own gentle way. At night, he’ll sneak over to sleep by your feet, keeping you company in the most comforting, peaceful way. In the mornings, he stretches out and greets you with a soft hello, starting your day with warmth.

Though he’s shy, Carter loves to play, enjoys his food, and truly values companionship. Sometimes he’ll even sit like a little person on the other side of the couch, keeping you company while you watch TV together.

Carter isn’t loud or demanding — he’s tender, calm, and deeply affectionate in his own quiet way. If you give him patience and love, he’ll give you loyal, gentle companionship in return.

All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, FVRCP vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped.

All of our kittens must go to homes where they will remain inside 24/7.

We'd love to schedule a meet & greet with you and the kittens! If you're interested in adopting, please visit our website and fill out an application: https://toniskittyrescue.org/adoption-application

More about this rescue

Toni, our founder, started fostering underage kittens that came into the local municipal shelter in 2000. By 2003 she had a network of foster parents and was saving many little lives so she became a non-profit. As of 2023 we are no longer with the shelter and are on our own. We have only one part-time employee and a dedicated group of fosters. All our kittens are vaccinated and spayed/neutered and receive all necessary medical care while in our care. We taken in strays from our partner trappers and from high-kill and over-crowded shelters, specializing in neo-nates and kittens under 6 weeks.
