My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ready for his home in 🇺🇸

🐾 Background
Presso was born at a local shelter in the summer of 2024 to a rescued mama dog. He grew up there alongside other dogs, surrounded by care, but sadly never found a home.

Knowing how special he is, we moved him to our partner shelter so he could have a better chance at finding the family he deserves. Presso now lives peacefully with other dogs and continues to show what a happy and loving boy he is.

🐾 Personality and Socialization
Because Presso has been cared for by people since the day he was born, he is very social and friendly. Everyone at the shelter adored him, and he quickly became a little mascot there. He loves human attention and is affectionate and cheerful.

He is also wonderful with other dogs, especially gentle and playful ones. Presso enjoys running around the playground with his dog friends and has an easygoing personality with a medium energy level.

🐾 Behaviour
Presso loves going for walks and does well on leash. He can feel nervous at the vet, but he remains quiet. He does not mind baths, rides well in the car, and prefers to do his potty outside. He enjoys playing with toys and spending time with his people.

🐾 Health and Diet
Presso is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and fully vaccinated. He takes monthly parasite prevention and has shown no signs of allergies so far. He eats kibble twice a day and is doing very well on his current diet.

🐾 Ideal Home
Presso is a smart, happy, and easygoing boy who gets along beautifully with both people and dogs. He would fit well into most families. Ideally, he would love a home where someone is around most of the time, as he really enjoys being with people.

Having another friendly dog to play with would be a wonderful bonus, but as long as he gets daily walks, playtime, and lots of love from his humans, Presso will be a very happy companion.

More about this rescue

Free Korean Dogs is a registered charity founded in 2015 with the mission to rescue, rehabilitate and find forever-loving homes for dogs saved from the Korean dog meat trade.

We divide our mission across three basic pillars: rescue, adopt, and engage. Since 2015, we’ve made huge advances in all three areas, shutting down three dog meat farm operations, facilitating the adoption of 1,800 rescue dogs, and launching Freedom Walk, our annual event to raise public awareness about the Korean dog meat trade:

RESCUE
Our organization has made significant strides in rescuing dogs from the dog meat trade, high-kill shelters and other high-risk conditions in Korea. We shut down dog meat farms and liberated over 500 dogs from unbearable suffering and despair.

ADOPT
Through our unwavering commitment, we have found forever-loving homes for more than 1,800 dogs rescued from brutal circumstances. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to rehabilitate these animals and find them a new life filled with love and care.

ENGAGE
Our mission extends beyond rescue and adoption; we are dedicated to building a compassionate community. Through educational campaigns and events, we engage with individuals and organizations to create a cultural shift from cruelty to compassion.
