My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweetie Pie is a sweet little lady who traveled all the way from Kings County, California to meet her new special person. She enjoys the simple joys in life-like a casual stroll outdoors or cozying up on the couch with her favorite human.

Sweetie Pie can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly-especially if you have a hot dog or some chicken in hand! She would thrive in a calm home where she's given time to settle in at her own pace and build trust with her people. With patience, love, and a quiet environment, Sweetie Pie will blossom into the affectionate companion she's meant to be.

She is ready to start her new chapter and can't wait to find someone who will let her shine in her own sweet, gentle way.

Established in 1929, Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) offers quality adoptions, affordable spaying/neutering, vaccinations and microchipping services, pet care services and education programs to enhance the human-animal bond. HSSV operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are the first organization in the country to meet the guidelines put forth by the Association of Shelter Veterinarians for standards of care for shelter animals: We are the first model shelter.

We are also the first animal community center in the nation to receive Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Our mission is to save lives, keep families together, and create a better future for pets and their people.

Our vision is a world where all animals can thrive, all people experience the magic of the human-animal bond, and all families are able to care for their pets.
