My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Ginger!
I’m a 2-year-old orange lady, and I’m currently living the good life in my foster home. I’ve learned a lot here... like how nice soft beds are, how comforting a quiet room can be, and how wonderful it feels to be loved just for being me.

I’m a sweet girl at heart. I enjoy gentle attention, calm moments, and being close to my people. I don’t have to be the center of attention all the time, but I do like knowing you’re nearby. If you’re sitting down, I might settle in close. If you’re busy, I’ll happily lounge and keep you company from afar.

Other cats? I like them! I’m polite, friendly, and happy to share my space. I’d do just fine in a home with feline friends, especially if they’re kind like I am. I enjoy peaceful days, cozy naps, and quietly enjoying life as it comes.

My foster home has been wonderful, but I know it’s just a stepping stone. I’m ready for my forever family. The one where I can stretch out, settle in, and love deeply. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion with a soft heart and an orange glow, I think we might be perfect together. Adopt me today!

More about this shelter

The Oahu SPCA was founded in April of 2009 and launched its mission, "Every healthy, treatable animal will find a forever home." The overwhelming support of community members was instrumental in helping to establish the first animal shelter in the state of Hawaii with a "no-kill philosophy." On July 18, 2009, 432 animals were relinquished to the Oahu SPCA the Largest Animal Rescue in the history of Hawaii. The Oahu SPCA rescued all 432 animals in 48 hours after the owner of an animal sanctuary in Waianae passes away.
