My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bear — your brindle “tiger” adventure buddy!
Bear is a 1.5-year-old Cur/Pit mix around 50 lbs, and he is absolutely stunning — his brindle coat looks like tiger stripes, and he turns heads everywhere he goes.
But he’s not just a pretty face… Bear is a total sweetheart. He takes treats gently, is curious about everything, and has that happy, young-dog energy that makes life more fun.
Bear’s highlights:
Cur/Pit mix | 50 lbs | 1.5 years old
Brindle “tiger” coat — truly gorgeous
Sweet, gentle, and eager to please
Takes treats super softly
Very curious and loves to explore
Great with other dogs
Great with kids
Good on a leash
Does well in a crate
Heartworm negative
Neutered
High energy — loves to run and play.  He has been exposed to cats in a separate room and ignored them.
Bear also has a little backstory that tugs at your heart: he was pulled from the shelter right before a big storm so he could be warm, safe, and fed. And honestly? He deserves so much more than just surviving. He deserves a real home, a cozy bed, and a family that chooses him forever.
If you’re looking for a handsome, fun, affectionate, adventure-ready best friend, Bear is your guy.  If you would like Bear to join your family please fill out an adoption application.  His $475 adoption fee covers medical up to adoption to include vaccines, neuter, microchip, foster care and transportation from Louisiana to NY.

More about this rescue

In 2018 a group of animal lovers got together to form a special animal rescue.

Every year millions of pets are surrendered to animal shelters and ultimately euthanized. In NY state alone thousands of dogs and cats are neglected, abandoned , homeless , and left in shelters. Seven was one of many pets abandoned by the only family he had ever known.

Seventh Heaven Rescue was created to help any animal in need. Our mission is to try to keep dogs out of shelters as well as rescue dogs that have found themselves in shelters. Our goal is to provide them the love , compassion, kindness , dignity and respect as well as medical care they need and deserve.

Our mission is to honor Seven’s memory in the hope that we can help other dogs and any animal in need just like him find loving families. We are strictly a non for profit organization. All donations go directly to those animals in our care.
