Meet Sugar, a gentle soul with a soft heart and the sweetest surprises.
Sugar is a beautiful, healthy grey tabby who’s still a little shy at first, but don’t let that fool you. When you least expect it, you’ll find her weaving around your ankles, quietly asking for your attention. She can be held and cuddled and is learning to enjoy this kind of affection more and more each day she just needs a patient, loving human who will let her set the pace.
Sugar has not been exposed to children or dogs yet, so her reactions to them are unknown. She has been fostered with other cats and gets along well, showing polite and easygoing kitty manners. That said, she seems to prefer a calmer, quieter environment where she can truly relax and blossom.
She is bonded with her sister, Spice, and the two share a special connection. They were rescued together from a home where their elderly caregiver sadly passed away, leaving them with no one else to care for them. Because of this bond, Sugar is looking for a forever home where she and Spice can stay together and continue to comfort one another.

Completed applications take precedence over inquiries. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. We will discuss additional details with potential adopters once we have an application on file.
For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. We are located in an overpopulated area surrounded by high-kill shelters.
Adoption fees include transport, vetting and a MS Health Certificate to travel. Each pet is spayed/neutered, receives age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and flea/tick prevention.
