This helps West Coast Paws Dog Rescue with pet care costs.
Hi friends! My name is Charlie ('Chocolate' in Mexico) and here's more about me:
PHYSICAL INFO:
RESCUE STORY - Not too much is known of my backstory but I was found living on the streets of Guadalajara as a puppy alongside another doggo friend of mine (who has since been adopted). It's possible that I had a family once, since I am so sweet and loving and no stranger to hoomans. My rescuer certainly thought I was too sweet a pup to be on the streets! Since she took me in, I've been doing very well, have been vetted and got a clean bill of health and have been waiting patiently for my chance at a furever family and a loving home to call my own!
TEMPERAMENT - I am know around here for my trademark smile! My rescuer also says I am a very active, playful, and obedient pup who absolutely loves being around hoomans. I am affectionate, social, and an incredibly gentle soul who enjoys hooman contact and companionship immensely. I even get along wonderfully with other pups and have a very special way of interacting with them. You see, I'm known as a little “peacekeeper” - if I see two dogs having an issue, I calmly step in to mediate! With puppies, I am especially tender and know how to control my strength. I can be a bit clumsy at times, which I have been told is "all part of the charm"! I ride calmly in a car and respond very well to treats and to a confident, loving voice. I would make a wonderful best buddy to anyone willing to open their hearts to me and give me the life I deserve!
ENERGY LEVEL - Medium - High
GETS ALONG WITH:
PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.
TRAINING:
Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.
HEALTH NOTES:
ADOPTION FEE:

The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.
WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.
