This sweet little lady will want to be right by your side no matter what you're doing. Watching TV? She'll sleep on the couch next to you. In the kitchen? She'll be right under your feet hoping you're going to drop something she can eat. Going for a drive? She happily sits on the backseat. And she'll definitely want to sleep on the bed with you.
Shelby's medium energy means she enjoys walks (she's great on leash) and playtime, but loves her snoozes. She'd make a great work from home buddy or would love to accompany you to work. She's very intelligent so picks things up quickly. She will happily prompt you when she thinks it's time for food, leading you to her bowl. She's not a huge fan of the snow and cold, but is good at going outside as needed.
Shelby is great with adults, children, dogs and cats. She could be an only dog but in a home where she'd have lots of company as she loves to be your shadow.

We have an application process. All applications are subject to reference checks, home checks. All adopters are required to sign an adoption contract and must adhere to requirements stated in this contract, and follow ups are done post adoption. Please contact us about adoption fees. Our rescue is solely run by volunteers, we strive to return calls and inquiries within a 24 hour period.
