My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello… my name is Pepper. I’m a shy, independent, and sensitive girl who thrives in calm, quiet environments. I may seem a little fearful at first, but once I feel safe, I can be very affectionate and love to cuddle with the people I trust. I’m indoor-only and enjoy my own space. I like pets on my terms, sitting in laps, and gentle play—especially chasing a laser pointer. When I’ve had enough attention or feel overwhelmed, I’ll politely move away or give a little warning nip. I’m not a fan of being picked up, and I prefer my belly and paws left alone. I’ve lived peacefully with other cats, enjoying naps nearby, sniffing noses, and the occasional play session. I can be fearful around children and dogs, so I’d do best in a calm home without little kids or dogs. What I need most is a patient, quiet home where I can feel secure, loved, and cared for. In the right environment, I’m a sweet, gentle companion who enjoys affection and play in my safe space.
