My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Smokey is a gorgeous senior gentleman with long, soft gray fur and the most striking big green eyes. He’s as sweet as they come and has a calm, gentle presence that makes him a joy to be around.
Smokey gets along well with friendly dogs and cats, making him a great addition to a multi-pet home. While his experience with kids is unknown, his easygoing nature suggests he’d do best in a calm, respectful environment.
As a long-haired kitty, Smokey’s beautiful coat will need regular grooming to keep it looking (and feeling) its best, but that just means more bonding time with his person. In return, he’ll offer quiet companionship, affection, and lots of loving looks from those unforgettable green eyes.
If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow soul to share your home and heart, Smokey is ready to be your loyal companion. Apply at ghhs.org

Additional adoption info

Adopters must be at least 19 years old.

If you rent, you must have permission from your landlord and pet fees must be paid in advance.

If adopting into a family, we require all members of the family to be in agreement about adopting. For families that already include another dog, we typically require a meet and greet; this may be hosted on the GHHS property, or at the potential adopter's home.

Some animals may require a home inspection.

Verification of current pet(s) vaccine/vet records.
