All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston. Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system. To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters. Our adoption fee varies by dog. We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Zelle, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only. A FTA contract is required.
This little girl was surrendered to our rescue by her family when they realized she needed more time than they had to devote to her. She was very needy and lonely. She was behind on vaccines and needed to be treated for hookworms.
Since being in our program, she has learned how to play with other dogs and entertain herself with toys.
She still loves attention, but does not 'suffer' without it.
We would love to find Cinny a home with another young SMALL dog who loves to play. She still doesn't have potty training down yet. She does NOT like to sleep alone and prefers to go to bed with her people. (in a diaper, please!)

Interview
Immediately upon receipt of your application, an auto-response email is sent. If you didn't get it, check SPAM. VET RECORDS ARE REQUIRED.
Home Check
You must send VET RECORDS. Home visits are required for puppies and first time pet owners
Meet the Pet
The whole family, including current pets must attend any Meet & Greet.
Sign Adoption Contract
All adoptions require a contract. You must promise to never rehome the pet. This is a lifetime commitment

Adoption fees vary by pet.
