Lentil is a gentle female dog who was initially shy but has been steadily warming up with staff as she becomes more comfortable in her environment. With patience and positive interactions, she continues to show progress and is beginning to come out of her shell. Lentil does have cherry eye, which will require follow-up veterinary care in her future home. She would do well with an adopter who can provide a calm, supportive environment and is prepared to continue both her confidence-building and medical care.
My Boroughbreaker writes: Lentil took a little bit of time to warm up (she is not super treat oriented) but slowly came out of her shell. She was good on her walk and didn't pull too much on the leash. She loved playing with rope toys inside. She vocalized some but may have been barking at her own reflection in the window! She didn't fully rest with us but she enjoyed playing and some nice pets. She particularly liked being pet by my husband and seemed most comfortable around him. She was also great around my 12yo. Overall, she is a super sweet doggie!!
My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: With a lot of encouragement and positive reinforcement, Lentil made herself at home in no time! She loved cuddling on the couch with her head on my lap. Once she felt safe her true personality started to show. She played with toys, jumped up on the couch herself, gave tons of kisses, and did many play bows to engage in play with me and my husband. Lentil is a very sweet girl who just needs a patient handler because once she feels confident she is a lover and a fun companion. Primary Color: Merle Weight: 62.3125 Age: 3yrs 0mths 3wks
