My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A girl who is dopey, sweet, and playful, this little Goober will warm anyone’s heart this winter.

Goober and her friend, Goofy, were recently rescued from a partner shelter in Karnes. And, despite their rough start, we know it won’t be long before they reach maximum silliness in new homes! Fostered together, these two have been well-behaved, entertaining citizens of their temporary household. They have been great at using their pee pads, they sleep through the night, and they stay busy with each other. Goober is quite the cuddler when she isn’t bouncing around with her foster brother. She is “laid back” according to her foster mom, but she still has plenty of puppy energy to keep your kids or other pets busy!

As a Dachshund mix, Goober will stay small to medium-sized as she reaches adulthood. She will make the perfect companion for anyone who appreciates a cuddle bug, a low-rider, and a loyal friend.

Adopt Goober, and it won’t be long before you melt for her. Apply today!

More about this rescue

SNIPSA is an organization formed by a group of veterinarians and caring individuals dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted animals in San Antonio and the surrounding area. SNIPSA does not have a standing shelter and depends on a core of volunteers to foster and rehabilitate animals in their homes. This provides us with the opportunity to learn first hand about the animal’s needs and behavior in order to facilitate an appropriate adoption. SNIPSA was incorporated in 2005 and has re-homed more than 3000 animals.
