Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Bella, a two-year-old black doodle with a beautiful heart. If you’re looking for a shadow who will follow you from room to room and gaze into your soul with the best eye contact you’ve ever seen, Bella is your girl. <3
• Bella is the definition of unpolished. She’s still learning the finer points of being a house dog, which means we’re working on her professional counter-surfing skills. She’s also a bit of a chore when it comes to chewing, so you’ll want to keep your shoes put away and her toy box full!
• However, Bella is an incredibly quick learner who truly wants to please her human. She already knows sit, stay (though she’ll try to sneak after you because she loves you), no, and out. She listens remarkably well. If her foster catches her starting to break a rule, she stops immediately as soon as they say no. Even when she’s playing out in the yard, they only have to call her name once and she comes running back immediately.
• Her demeanor is pure sweetness, and she absolutely loves to play. In her Louisiana foster home, she has been a dream with the other dogs and shows zero food aggression. She would be the perfect match for an active person looking for a jogging partner. Once she’s getting regular exercise to burn off that busy energy, a lot of her mischievous behavior will likely disappear.
• Bella is a non- shedder, important for those folks with allergies .
When the day is done, her favorite place in the entire world is curled up in bed right next to her person. She’s fully caught up on all her medical work and preventatives, and she’s ready for her fresh start.
No, Bella isn’t a plug and play dog. She’s a project that needs your help to be the best companion ever. She needs a home that can help her to stay consistent with the house rules. In return, you’re going to get the most loyal, snuggly companion you could ask for.
Bella is currently learning the rules with her foster family in Louisiana. Transport north is included in her adoption fee. She is available through New York State Retriever Rescue. If you’re ready to help this girl shine, please visit NYSRR.COM (http://NYSRR.COM) to fill out an application.
