My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Toph!

This sweet girl came to us in rough shape with her nails overgrown into her pawpads! She has since had a nail trim and been checked out by a vet and is ready to find a new home of her own! We don't have any history on her as she was found abandoned. She is fearful of people and will ball up into a ball of quills, when she is first approached, though she does warm up quickly with treats like crickets and wet cat food! She loves her fleece blankets to curl up and hide in and she LOVES her wheel. Hedgehogs are primarily nocturnal and she is no exception, she runs on her wheel all night and likes to have fun toys to spend her night time adventures. She is an expert redecorator at night and you will find her enclosure is all rearranged every morning. She will need lots of socializing so that her nails can be trimmed on a regular basis. Since her nails were overgrown into her paws, they need to be kept clean so that it doesn't get infected. She is very good for her foot baths. Hedgehogs need their toes inspected everyday to ensure that there is no strings around her toes. Her enclosure needs to be cleaned everyday, to keep her nice and healthy. She is looking for a home that is willing to give her all the love and care she deserves.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.
