My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rose - a gentle, soft‑spoken sweetheart who's looking for a calm, patient home where she can finally feel safe.
🌸 Rose's Story

Rose came to us as a stray, unsure of people and the world around her. Life outside didn't give her much reason to trust, but she's slowly learning that kindness is real and that she doesn't have to face things alone anymore.
💕 Personality

Sweet but shy: Rose is a tender little soul who needs time and space to open up. Once she feels comfortable, her sweetness shines through in the most heart‑melting ways.

Slow‑to‑warm, worth‑the‑wait: She blossoms quietly, offering gentle affection and soft curiosity when she knows she's safe.

Feline‑friendly: Rose absolutely lights up around other cats. A confident, friendly feline companion would help her feel secure and show her that humans can be trusted too.

🏡 Her Ideal Home

Rose would thrive in a peaceful environment with patient adopters who understand that trust takes time. A resident cat who enjoys company would be a huge comfort to her and help her continue building confidence.

If you're looking for a gentle, sensitive companion who will reward your patience with quiet love and loyalty, Rose may be the perfect addition to your home.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
