My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Swabby! 🐾

This adorable 10-month-old terrier is the definition of puppy joy! Swabby is tiny — just 8 pounds — but her personality is HUGE. She’s full of energy, loves to play, and brings happy little spark wherever she goes.

Swabby absolutely adores affection and is always ready for cuddles after playtime. She does fantastic with every dog she meets and would love a home where she can have fun, feel safe, and be part of the family. She’s super loving, incredibly sweet, and truly just an amazing little dog.

Swabby came to us as a stray, so we don’t know about her past — but we do know her future deserves to be full of love, playtime, and cozy snuggles.

If you’re looking for a tiny best friend with a big heart, Swabby is your girl 💕

✨ Now seeking her forever home! ✨

More about this rescue

The mission of the Raise the Bar-N Foundation is to rescue, care for, and provide compassion to abused and neglected animals, educate the community about responsible pet ownership, and provide opportunities to children and adults with disabilities. We strive to give the voiceless a voice.

My husband and I have been rescuing for years. We also do a great deal with the autism/special needs community. We are hoping to save more animals and help build bonds between animals and children with disabilities. My husband is a firefighter and ex-professional hockey player. I am an expert working with children with disabilities, especially autism. I am passionate about giving the voiceless a "voice".
