My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Two peas in a pod, these two ladies came into the rescue at the same time, around the same age, and quickly became best buds. Both arrived pretty sick and needing some TLC. They bonded over their insane appetites and wonky eyes. Alicia Keys (the calico) eye did eventually need to be removed, making her much happier and healthier as a pirate kitty. Her lone eye doesn’t stop her, she is still as sweet as can be!

Beyoncé (the tabby) still has a wonky eye and some scarring on both eyes, but is the boss of the house. She runs the show! She and Alicia live in their foster home with a few other animals and what she says definitely goes. She had the confidence of an animal wise beyond her years and a personality that packs a punch.

Both girls have overcome so many obstacles, but one thing that has been a constant is each other. They are a bonded pair and do everything together. They are the Yin to the others yang, you won’t catch one without the other.

Alicia is the more reserved of the two girls, needing time and Beyoncé's lead to open up, but is a snuggle bug once she feels safe. Beyoncé is a little velcro cat, waiting to follow you around wherever you might end up in the house. She is also VERY vocal and loves to sing and chirp.

Both girls love laser and wand toys, treats galore and the occasional “pup cup” for very special occasions (lets just say the holidays were pretty cool when their foster mom took them on a holiday car ride out of the city).

Both kittens are spayed, UTD with their shots, and can be adopted to a home with or without other animals.

Please apply using the following instructions if you are interested in adopting one of our Waggytails: Visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the cat is on our website, they are still available.

Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable cat, or final size of any of our adoptable kittens. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the cat into our rescue.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

STEP 1: Apply!
Download and complete an ADOPTION APPLICATION from www.waggytailrescue.org/adopt-a-waggytail

STEP 2: The Meet and Greet!
We strongly suggest the ALL members of the household come to the meet and greet. This is the time to determine whether a dog's personality is match for you, your family and your other animals, and if you have allergies. If everything goes well you may adopt the same day, or take a day or two to decide, but we cannot indefinitely hold dogs in foster care for you.

STEP 3: Contract and Donation!
Fill out and sign the TRANSFER AGREEMENT.

The DONATION FEE may be paid by Venmo (@WaggytailRescue) or Paypal (waggytailrescue@gmail.com, add $15 processing fee). Please put the name of the dog in the memo section! Electronic payment is preferred!
You may also pay by check (payable to Waggytail Rescue), however processing of adoptions may be delayed by up to 2 weeks.
If your new buddy is not yet neutered, a $100 refundable deposit must be paid at adoption.

Dog Donation Fees
(includes microchip registration, age appropriate vaccines, and neuter)

$550 for puppies under 1 year
$450 for dogs 1 to 8 years
$325 for seniors over 9 years of age

Please add an additional $15 when paying by PayPal to cover processing fees.
Add $100 neuter deposit for unfixed animals.
