My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet River! 🐾💫

She earned her name because she loves to “talk” — just like Joan Rivers! This chatty girl always has something to say and isn’t shy about sharing her opinions.

River has a mostly white coat with beautiful markings around her eyes, a single “wing” marking on her shoulder, and a tiny spot near her tail — little details that make her extra special. One of the smaller girls in the litter, she’s still quick on her feet, playful, and always ready to tumble and wrestle with her siblings.

Sweet, smart, and full of personality, River does great with other dogs and shows no food aggression. She’s the perfect mix of cuddly companion and playful sidekick.

We’re awaiting DNA results, but we suspect a heeler mix, with an estimated adult weight of 35–50 pounds — a wonderful medium size for both adventures and couch snuggles. 💕

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
