My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Trooper! 🐾🧡

Trooper was found as a tiny, motherless puppy with his littermates in Laredo and has been thriving in foster care ever since. Born around December 1, 2025, he’s easy to spot thanks to his striking white coat and a unique orange-red “angel wing” marking on his right shoulder.

Trooper is a happy, resilient little guy with a playful spirit and a curious nature. He loves exploring, romping with his siblings, and soaking up attention from his people. Sweet, smart, and full of puppy joy, he’s ready to grow into a loyal, loving companion. He’s great with other dogs and does not show any food aggression.

We’re awaiting DNA results, but we suspect a heeler mix, with an estimated adult weight of 35–50 pounds. Heelers are known for being intelligent, loyal, and active companions who thrive with engaged families and plenty of mental and physical activity.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
