My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Some puppies ease their way into your life.

Daisy Pup pushes the door open, waves, and immediately becomes your favorite. Daisy is the kind of pup who believes the world is mostly good, people exist solely to adore her, and laps are an underutilized resource. She loves attention the way plants love sunlight — desperately and with zero shame. If you stop petting her, she will simply stare at you like you’ve forgotten your job. Because… you have. Daisy is the kind of puppy who greets life like Disney princess — bouncy, friendly, and convinced you’re her best friend within approximately 0.3 seconds. She plays hard, loves big, and then suddenly powers down like a phone at 2% battery and transforms into a tiny, snuggly potato who must be held immediately or she will simply perish (emotionally).

Somehow Daisy Pup — a 7-week-old, 7-lb female Pyr/Lab mix — already did a short stint in the shelter… with her brother, Donald Pup. This too-cute-for-words baby found herself “in the slammer” for absolutely no reason other than someone at some point decided they didn’t want her, which we are formally declaring an absolute crime against humanity, puppies, and joy in general. Honestly, we’d like to speak to management. Luckily, Daisy landed with us, and now her future looks much more like a long line of awwws, forehead kisses, and people stopping mid-sentence to say, “I’m sorry, what was I saying? LOOK AT HER.” For the record, this is absolutely a future “soul dog” situation. The kind where, years from now, when we ask for an update, we already know the response will include phrases like “we can’t imagine life without her” and “she was meant to be ours.” Daisy isn’t just cute — she’s destiny wrapped in fluff.

Around other dogs, she’s friendly, playful, and fully convinced that everyone wants to be her best friend. As for kids — Daisy is extremely people-oriented and thrives on attention, so she’d likely think kids are excellent, slightly louder humans who exist solely to adore her. That said, she is still a puppy and comes equipped with brand-new, factory-fresh needle teeth. Supervision and gentle guidance will be key while she learns proper play etiquette. She has met cats, and in classic Daisy fashion, she was playful, curious, and very interested in this strange new creature that moves like a ninja and judges silently. She clearly thought the cats were potential friends… or at the very least, something fascinating that deserved further investigation.

Energy-wise, she’s sitting comfortably at about a 7 out of 10. She’s friendly, affectionate, and deeply committed to the belief that attention is both necessary and renewable. Playful and social? Absolutely. She’s down to romp, bounce, and charm everyone in the room. But once her zoomies have been fully spent, she softens right up and turns into a snuggle-seeking professional who would very much like to be held like the precious item she knows she is.

Your mission — should you choose to accept it — is to help Daisy Pup grow into the kind of well-mannered, socially acceptable dog that everyone adores. Daisy has all the raw materials already. She’s sweet, friendly, affectionate, and operating under the strong belief that humans exist primarily for love, cuddles, and moral support. What she does not yet have is life experience. Potty training? That’s on you, bestie. Socialization? Also your department. She needs to meet people, dogs, cats, kids, weird noises, strange surfaces, and yes — that suspicious trash can that appears out of nowhere and insults puppies everywhere. Training? You guessed it — all you. Daisy is not secretly studying obedience theory in her spare time. She’s a blank slate. A tiny sponge. A fluffy little project with big potential. With consistency, patience, and a sense of humor, she’ll grow into the kind of dog who can go places, behave politely, and make you look like you know what you’re doing. Daisy is sweet, eager, and full of heart — the kind of puppy who, with the right guidance, turns into someone’s once-in-a-lifetime dog. And honestly? She’s already well on her way.

Daisy Pup is ready to steal your heart, and probably your entire camera roll. If you feel this girl belongs with you, you do, in fact, have to fill out an adoption application at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app . No, you cannot just declare “she’s mine” in the comments. Yes, we promise it’s worth it. Once you apply, we’ll send your application along to her foster family so they can help decide if you’re Daisy’s happily-ever-after. And finally — logistics, because love still requires a pickup plan — Daisy’s future family will need to pick her up in Skiatook, OK.
