My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Handsome!

Handsome is a 1-year-old, 26-pound Border Terrier mix with the perfect blend of playful energy and laid-back charm. He recently stayed in a temporary foster home during the cold weather and did amazing — proving he’s ready to thrive in a forever home of his own!

This sweet boy gets along great with kids and loves having dog friends to play with. He’s social, happy, and has a gentle, easygoing personality that makes him a joy to be around.

One of Handsome’s absolute favorite activities? Sunbathing! Give him a warm patch of sunshine and he’s in heaven, soaking up the rays like a little furry lizard. When he’s not lounging, he’s happy to hang out with his people or join in on playtime.

Handsome is the kind of dog who will fit beautifully into so many homes — loving, friendly, and just plain adorable. He’s ready to find his happily-ever-after!

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
