Meet Ol` Roy, Ol` Roy is in the Adoption Ambassador foster program. Foster families take animals into their homes and help them get adopted. This is what his foster family is saying about him/her:
Although we truly love Ol’ Roy, the shelter environment has been very hard on him. This 4-year-old boy is the most skittish dog we have, often choosing to hide in his kennel where everything feels overwhelming and scary.
But once Ol’ Roy is outside of that space and given a chance to breathe, a different dog begins to emerge. He is sweet, gentle, and full of quiet love, just waiting for someone patient enough to let him show it. While we may not yet know the real Ol’ Roy, we know without a doubt that he has a heart that will melt the right family’s heart.
Ol’ Roy would do best in a calm, understanding home with someone willing to move at his pace and help him feel safe. With time, trust, and love, this shy boy has the potential to truly blossom.
