My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peggy — a lovable little Mini Aussie with a big heart and one extra-special leg 🐾
Peggy is around 3 years old, fully housetrained, and the definition of affectionate. She adores human attention and will happily follow you from room to room just to be near her favorite people. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow and a snuggle buddy, Peggy is your girl.
She does have four legs — one is just a little unique — but it doesn’t slow her down from loving life (or loving you!).
Peggy came to NTASR as a breeder surrender, and because of that, she’s still learning about the world. She’s a sweet soul who is under-socialized and can feel unsure around other dogs, especially in new environments. With patience, consistency, and slow, safe introductions, Peggy will continue building confidence and trust at her own pace.
She’s currently awaiting some vetting and will be ready soon for her forever home — ideally with a calm, patient family who understands that love sometimes grows best when it’s allowed to unfold gently.
Peggy may be a little quirky, but her heart is pure gold. 💕
All she needs is someone willing to show her that the world can be a safe, loving place.

Go meet their pets

After being approved by a team member, you'll be able to schedule a meet and greet with the pup that best matches your needs.

All of our pets are in private foster homes and many times the meeting will happen in a safe public location.

All animals are available to begin their home trials once the meeting has concluded and the rescue agrees to allow the pet to move forward to this stage.
